Balanced body …Balanced mind

Instructor Information:

Dr. Gorigoitia’s clinical and academic expertise includes mind and body psychology, CBT, sports psychology and play therapy.

She is part of the Center for Integrative Psychotherapy in Allentown under the direction of Dr. Jesus Salas and also aerial conditioning instructor at the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts in Philadelphia.

The Aerial Arts that I encourage was born as I connected two passions: Psychology and the Aerial arts. I consider them a vehicle for physical and mental fitness. Aerial Mind is the result of this vision.

I use mindful aerial movement and circus arts as a way to experience self-improvement. Themes like kinesthetic awareness, communication skills, self-confidence and positive reframing are addressed through out the curriculum.

The process is simple: small movements before big leaps- from the ground to the air and vice-versa the dialogue between your body and your mind is expressed in motion and at your own pace.

How much you want to enjoy and far you want to go- is up to you!

Class Schedule

Adaptive Trapeze classes at the Lehigh Valley Sports Academy:

Youth classes (12 -17): Skills progression in the trapeze is taught in a small group setting ( max 6), fabric and sling are utilized for conditioning purposes. You can expect to learn knee hang, balanced seating and standing movements, plus creative movement.

Mindful aerial movement is used with youth to experience mental and physical fitness. Themes like kinesthetic awareness, communication skills, self-confidence and positive reframing are addressed through out the curriculum.

Adults classes (18 and up): Adults skills progression focuses on mindful movement, core stabilization and balance. Trapeze is utilized for skill progression, silks and sling are combined to aid  the conditioning process. Movement progression starts at knee hang and evolves to seating and standing skills.

Adaptive Trapeze: 1:15 min (6 max)

Mindful Movement in the trapeze will progressively take you from the ground to the air. Skills progression is at your own pace, classes are multilevel-starting by balancing seated to standing and hanging from different parts of your body.

Adaptive Aerial Exploration: 1:15 min (6 max)

Class open to everybody that is curious about mindful movement in the air and wants to experience  a playful and challenging class, emphasizing physical strength , readiness and flexibility.

  Imago Aerials 60 min:

Private or semiprivate session (max 3 people), individualized work that will integrate aerial apparatus (trapeze) and Cognitive –behavioral techniques to improve performance.

Experiencing Adaptive - Aerial arts is completely based on where you are with your body-today.  Your body at the moment will be the platform to allow you to become a source of playful movement exploration- and the trapeze will lead you there.  The world upside down is a good place to start to experience yourself with no limits, just a curious open mind.
